X-ray Imaging and Spectroscopy
Xcam offers three types of X-ray cameras:
High-resolution
X-ray imaging systems are based upon direct or
indirect (scintillator based) detection of X-rays. A wide variety
of standard and customised cameras are available.
Xcam offers two methods by which the scientist can obtain X-ray
spectra. Dispersed X-ray spectroscopy is
conventional spectroscopy in which the X-ray beam is dispersed
using a grating before detection by the CCD chip. Photon-counting
X-ray spectroscopy offers a unique
opportunity to detect and measure the energy of X-ray throughput.
